“Textfree with Voice” by Pinger

With electronic communications rising in price and phone companies charging more to use their services, society is constantly looking for an inexpensive alternative; that is where Textfree with Voice comes in.  With the use of this service, the media has also taken advantage of this product to advertise their products or services.  Although Textfree with Voice has many beneficial features for the user, the application also has downsides. This new reconstructed form of communication and internet has aided both the media and society.

Textfree with Voice, like many applications, are found in the Apple apps store or the Android market for no cost.  This app, as the name states, allows anyone to text with no charge to anyone in the United States and other parts of the world.  Calling on this application is a huge advantage over the prices phone companies charge.  Textfree with Voice charges nothing for inbound calls, Textfree to Textfree calls, and you can buy incredibly inexpensive minuets.  When one signs up for the application, a free phone number is issued to use with texting and calling; free picture messaging is also included.  This application can run off Wi-Fi or a data plan.  The updates, which include stability, performance, and extra features, occur monthly.  Within society, this app can help people save plenty of money and communicate at a much more inexpensive cost.  An advantage Textfree has is free activation for a number and it is using more stable application software then other texting applications.  Although this application has various benefits and can save people a good deal of money, there are downsides included with this app.
While this application has many beneficial features that help society, there are flaws that follow this app.  The first disadvantage is that one needs to operate it on an iPod touch, an iPhone, an iPad, or an Android operating system.  Some of the downsides using this application includes when sending picture messages, they have to be sent to a specific Textfree with Voice email account; which tends to be annoying.  While answering a call or texting someone, sometimes the call can be dropped or the Textfree with Voice servers will be down; updates have improved some of this problem.  Another downside of this free application is the crashing, when you first click on the application icon or in a call, sometimes it tends to crash and the application has to be restarted.  When looking at Textfree for android phones, the application does not include voice, which can be frustrating to some android owners who want to save money calling.  Some of the competition that Textfree with Voice has is textPlus.  TextPlus has free texting and group texting but no voice or picture messaging, which gives Textfree with Voice an advantage.  TextNow, which is similar to that of Textfree with Voice, with the exception of a phone number activation fee, also imposes a small threat of downloads.

Advertising plays a large portion in the process of this application; without advertising, there would not be enough funds to keep this application free.  Advertisements appear throughout this entire application, from the texting screen to pop-out advertisements after a call.  Fifty percent of the advertisements shown are of applications made from the same company, Pinger; this is a marketing strategy done to get their applications downloaded.  When earning free minuets through Textfree with Voice, one is required to download one of the many free or paid applications advertised by Pinger.  When you set up a Textfree with Voice account, it asks for one’s zip code because local companies advertise; which in turn will help society discover what businesses there are around them.

The application, Textfree with Voice has a great impact on society with how people communicate at no cost or at an inexpensive cost.  The application is excellent for the person who is on a budget or does not want to spend a substantial amount of money.  Since people will be saving and not spending as much for talk and text plans that phone companies offer, this will end up hurting business for the phone companies.  With this technology in our reach, we are able to communicate to people living in other countries at no cost.  Society, in general, likes new ideas and ways to interact with one another.  Textfree with Voice allows people to do this with new forms of media interactions.  The media Textfree with Voice brings to the user are updates on games, new applications, and software all within the app.  The application Textfree with Voice is distributed worldwide, which is a way of mass communication; this in return, allows Pinger to easily get information to a broader audience.
In conclusion, the application Textfree with Voice is a very useful tool, whether someone is looking to save money or talk and text on an iPod touch.  Buyers of this application should be thankful for the advertisements that sponsor and keep Textfree with Voice free.  Nowadays, with how society operates, it does not get any better than free communication between family and friends.  With technology changing day-by-day, plus new forms of mass media and communication, it makes one wonder what form of innovation is next on the horizon.
